Imagined Audience

The audience I envision for my website is individuals interested in travel and photography. My articles are presented in the form of pictures, scene descriptions, or stories. As I mentioned in the “About Me” section, I aim to transport the audience back to vivid memories through my words and images. Since pictures play a crucial role in showcasing the various landscapes of my journeys, I have implemented a feature allowing readers to enlarge the images on all posts and the homepage. This enables viewers to better understand the scenes I describe while reading my blog. Additionally, I have dedicated a separate page to store my photos, organized by city, providing a more intuitive way for the audience to appreciate the landscapes and photography from my travels across Europe. By categorizing blog posts under different cities, readers can easily explore content related to their interests. This layout design enhances effectiveness.

Each of my posts features a cover photo, usually relevant to the content’s city. I believe that images easily evoke associations and resonate with the audience. Even in non-blog posts, such as the two peer reviews I wrote, the overall theme of the website influenced my choice of cover photos. For instance, in the first review of a website with a fresh and cute color scheme, I selected a vibrant and adorable photo as the cover image. In contrast, for the second review, which focused on a photography website characterized by cold tones and sharp imagery, I chose a landscape photo with grayish mountains resembling the website’s style. Aligning photos with content enhances the audience’s understanding.
